Kalyan Krishna made his debut as director with the film and Ramya Krishna, Lavanya Tripathi played the female leads.

Soggade Chinni Nayana collected Rs 40 crores within two weeks of its theatrical run and the movie is continuing its strong run across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in its third week. Telangana government has been busy with the GHMC elections and they have declared a holiday on February 2nd on the D Day. All the government offices, educational institutions along with the banks and other commercial premises will be closed today.

However Nagarjuna will sure be benifited hugely today as it is a public holiday. With no other films around and all the other Sankranthi releases faded away, Nag is supposed to be benifited huge on the holiday all across Telangana. The movie is expected to mint huge money today which will be a memorable gift for Nag from KCR and his Telangana government.Soggade Chinni Nayana has been produced by Nagarjuna on Annapurna Studios banner and the makers are currently in plans for a sequel.
